The W.R. Bennett Award for Athletic Excellence is given to one outstanding athlete at each BC Winter and BC Summer Games.
The award includes a $2500 bursary and is designed to recognize and support the ongoing development of young athletes.

Presented by Canadian Tire.
Both Canadian Tire and the BC Games Society were impressed by the achievements in sport, academics, and volunteerism demonstrated by the applicants.
More than 200 applications were received with applicants representing all sports and every zone.
